Genius depicts three days in the unconventional existence of Alana Gruber, a world famous Opera Soprano that returns to her home town, after a life long absence, to perform in a charity event, sponsored by some of the most influential people in Fort Lauderdale. This young woman, sometimes charming, sometimes obnoxious, has chosen to live her life as if performing on stage, making all events revolving around her, as dramatic, romantic, epic, comic and operatic as Opera itself. Alana Gruber is frenetically in love with stardom and would be willing to even imagine vivid conversations or to pretend tragedies in order to make her presence unforgettable.
