Synopsis
Justin Van der Osten has arrived, early in the evening, to his hotel in Fort Lauderdale and immediately checked out his room with methodical care, looking for bug devices and concealed cameras. He has opened up the room's telephone and installed in small device before making a phone call. However, he used his own mobile, changing the telephone card and waited patiently for an answer. Angela Rohmer entered her boss' office standing in front of his desk, holding some folders that contain very interesting investment figures, she hands him the documents and he invites her approvingly to stand next to his side to see some paperwork comparisons. Body language denounces what is about to happen and Angela lets him slowly reach to her calves and slowly allows him to go higher and higher, to only stop when sex was about to take place and final temperance delays for a better location, free from spies and tellers. Her husband Mark is at the police station enjoying another week of calm and crime free city. Mark Rohmer is law enforcement negotiator, in charge of bringing to senses those unfortunate people in desperation that threaten innocents and themselves. Mark is very intelligent and shrewd psychologist that self proclaims a deep knowledge in human behavior. Right now, he is suffering one of the worst ailments that can affect a police officer: boredom; and he is ready to go home.
William Johnston is still aroused just at the remembrance of that brief encounter with Angie, his favorite executive. Hot woman she is indeed and a perfect mental distraction after all these stressful days trying to deal with his panicked clients after losing all that money he had lost with the Central European connection brought to him by that grease ball jerk called Zack Drayer. At least, the Drayer problem was taken care off, later he would have to figure out a way to soften the financial situation, even at his own expense. Now, all he needed was the comforting sight of a nice round pair of tits frictioning away the sorrows that Angela Rohmer has abandoned few minutes ago. Laura Frazier is getting ready to star her shift at the upscale nightclub that hosts her performing talents under the name of Savannah. She stares at herself in the mirror and she can hardly recognize the meek looking Laura that shares her life between school and the hotel where she resides. The rasp voice of the DJ precedes the rhythmic music that starts another night of easy money and inoffensive sleazy fun. She loves to stare at men straight in their eyes as she rubs her body against theirs and to see them incompetent to fulfill their hand tied fantasies. As she enters the stage, she sees William Johnston's familiar face taking positions as close as possible. She knows well that sooner than later, he would ask her to join him for a private dance that will send her home with enough extra cash to make his ulterior usual proposals a no contest affair.
Zack Drayer enters his son's bedroom and sees him asleep in composed serenity. He caresses his forehead and sits next to him and kisses him softly to avoid waking him up. He needs all the rest he can get. Soon, he will be getting that experimental drug they are sending him from Latvia that promises to help him overcome this advanced leukemia that has mined his vigor and youth. Staring at his struggles, once again he understands that any means justify his actions as a father and he would do it all over repeatedly, even at the peril of his own life. If he just knew how much at risk he was, he would not care either. It was his final decision. As he stood up again and walked towards the door, his eyes met with his wife's Sally who he directed out of the room to sit down and discuss some important issues regarding in house finances.
Sally Drayer has prayed so much this last few years. More than ever, since they learnt that such horrible disease affected their only son Jack. Never questioned God's mandates for she knew those were challenges that were there to be endured with fearless faith. Now, she listens carefully at her husband as he discloses information about a huge and significant amount of money that he hides in ciphered bank accounts in Europe and the Caribbean. They distrusted each other so deeply and what a surprise it was to learn from him all that information. She knew her husband had been engaging in murky business for a long time and she feared that one of these days his uncanny behavior would cost him everything. Sally would never admit that she hated her husband. Her Christian heart will never harbor such feelings and her Pastor will comfort her tribulation with words of wisdom.
Daniel Torres is behind the hotel's barman position as customary during the night shift. In a few hours, everything will be calm and no supervising eyes will prevent him from making his phone calls and underground contacts that provided him with so much low profile income and finally be able to progress in life and make a great man of himself. So many plans and projects, so many responsibilities and so few hours to make it happen. Do not matter the brutal hours and shifts that he covered on daily basis. He always sneaked time to carefully see his fiancée in hidden excitement. He always found the right moment to do business with important people disguised with patron-barman cordiality. He was always there trying to be useful and productive and trustworthy and hands on even at the risk of flirting with delinquency.
Justin Van der Osten walked into the bar for a night drink and sightseeing of the hotel that will work as his center of operations. He is there to kill Zack Drayer and leave unnoticed after another clean job. He knows this man's face, demeanor and weaknesses without ever meeting him in person. Tomorrow, he will check out his daily routines and decide that right moment and place to close the deal. He loved to play his jobs but his impeccable operation had left a long list of untraceable close cases. Justin had deep knowledge of human behavior and he would be capable of defining and classifying another human being almost at first sight. Like this Hispanic barman that was so obviously tense at the meeting he was going to have soon with an unknown human object and which was making his conversation with Van der Osten too tough to manage in peace. No doubt, Daniel was into something somehow illegal. As he retired to sleep, Justin crossed path with Zack Drayer who smiled at him courteously. Small world indeed. His job assignment was right there sitting at the bar very much at the same location he sat before. It was too much of a temptation to let it happen unnoticed and Justin turned around towards Daniel who was now, ostensibly nervous at his request for another drink to take to his room. Zack Drayer was sitting at the bar, both men introduced themselves, and after a few seconds of forced silence, Justin left for his room smiling at his good luck. Good night everyone.
Mark Rohmer cannot believe how quiet Fort Lauderdale has been in the last four month. Simple cases solved promptly by an efficient police force. Later today, he is planning a little escapade with his wife. A little bit of role playing and she will let him pick her up at a local bar as if they didn't love each other. He wasn't too much into sex games but Angie loved them and he had to admit that their passion was far away from fading away now when their were approaching the seven year itch. At lunch time, when most of the fellow employees have left for one hour, Angela Rohmer is kissing William Johnston with impractical foolishness. If someone sees them it would be so sordid but no one would dare to enter the boss' office without convening first. She would only need to be silent when her instincts called for the most strident delivering. Crazy enough as it was. Later, this week they were to meet quartered by an outlawed ardor. Justin Van der Osten has returned to the hotel after spending the entire daybreak monitoring Zack Drayer's very predictable steps. As he enters the lobby and walks to the reception desks, where Daniel Torres is working the day shift as well, an unexpected figment in the form of a young woman, glares at his polite greeting. As she leaves for school, Daniel Torres discloses to him excellent information about who might be this girl in her mid twenties. A student and night shift nurse that lived in the hotel for almost a whole year. Well-mannered and timid. Hard working and most admirable human being. Justin will spend the rest of the day with that delusion at his north, by no means interfering with his assignment's plan but with no doubt, enlightening his tedious hours of preparatives. They would meet and converse and find each other fascinating out of their own mysteries that they were no yet ready to share. Justin Van der Osten, Laura Frazier, Zack Drayer, Angela Rohmer and William Johnston will coincide in the same hotel engaged in different employments, but each one of them ill fated by their own personal choices. Justin ambushes Zack Drayer in his room to execute his deadly contract while he was waiting for the miracle medicine. William Johnston will momentarily derange from his outgoing illegal affair with Angela when learning by chance that his hated enemy was staying next door to him and in impulsive tantrum wants to face him without knowing that Zack Drayer was about to be killed at that very same time by his express orders. Laura Frazier totally fascinated by her platonic dream love relationship, follows him to find herself involved in an unthinkable act that is as perverse as arousing. All of them together in the same room by tricks of destiny. Now Justin understands that its all over and his end is about to come... standoff has just started and four people are his hostages in a final run with death. Justin's instincts tell him that the end is unavoidable but his intuition betrays him by suggesting that disclosing their situation might get him his only hope. Police arrive and special forces are directed by Mark Rohmer as their negotiator. Mind games between the parts start to volley as two men, with deep knowledge in human behavior try to get an edge over each other.
Victims and Justin exchange the most brutal true while the Negotiator fails to believe that he is holding all those hostages simply because it didn't make sense and sounded like bluffing. ower instinct flourish and Johnston still wants his assignment completed and Justin complies, devastating Angela and Laura, overwhelmed by so much hate. Violence erupts at the end and police forces their entrance taking Justin's life with professional accuracy but that very same violence also takes Angela's existence. Deepest pain takes over, incriminating and accusing the inexcusable. Death might have been the best way to salvation. Justin and Angela do not care anymore for very opposite reasons. .
